Civil Engineering Technician (Grade 9)
Job Summary
Gokwe Town Council is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the following positions which have arisen in Council.
Reporting to the Town Engineer
Duties And Responsibilities
1.1 Key Result Areas Supervise construction and maintenance of roads, water, public lighting and waste water infrastructure. Prepare work plans for all civil works. Assist the Town Engineer in preparation of designs and Bill of Quantities for construction projects. Assist the Town Engineer in projects management. Ensuring that all Council equipment and tools are in good working condition, safely kept and that they are being correctly utilised. Preparation of reports. Any other duties as may reasonably be assigned by the Town Engineer.
Qualifications And Experience
A diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent. At least 1 year experience in construction and maintenance of infrastructure (roads, water and buildings). Affiliation to a professional body is an added advantage. Possession of a clean class 4 driver’s licence is an added advantage.To apply
