Chartered Accountants Academy invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals to fill the position of Accountant at our Harare location.
Duties and Responsibilities
-Train and lead the finance team. -Administer the accounting system, i.e., Sage and its sub-modules. -Review all work posted in the accounting system for accuracy and completeness. -Ensure proper filing of all accounting records. -Ensure compliance with tax and other statutory requirements. -Provide support and guidance on technical and key accounting issues. -Prepare management accounts and reports. -Monitor and control budgets. -Review and approve payments based on the approval matrix. -Assist with audit planning and coordination. -Establish and maintain effective financial reporting systems and processes for different strategic business units (SBUs). -Assist with product pricing and costing.
Qualifications and Experience
-Degree in Accounting. -ACCA completed. -At least 3 years of experience in a similar role. -Proficiency with accounting software such as Sage, Pastel, or SAP. -Ability to use Microsoft Office packages. -Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities. -Excellent decision-making skills.
