Reporting to the Programmes Coordinator, the Coordinator will take charge of coordinating the work of the networks’ secretariat and the network itself, as follows: 


  • Work closely with the Programmes Coordinator and the Executive Director on fundraising for the program activities of the network; 
  • Coordinating the membership and implementing strategies to strengthen, inform and motivate the same; 
  • Provide thought-leadership on strategic direction and technical advisory in development and implementation of Transitional Justice programmes; 
  • Provide oversight on, and the actual implementation of programmes activities by the projects staff; 
  • Maintain close liaison with stakeholders and membership of the National Transitional Justice network; 
  • Ensure compliance with network policies an national laws; 
  • Monitor the impact of the network’s work and make sure that it remains relevant and strategic; 
  • Supervising the planning and implementation of all the Transitional Justice activities, ensuring that outputs are accomplished and delivered according to the agreed work plan/s and timeframes; 
  • Providing guidance and leadership in ensuring that all the programmes activities are aligned with network objectives and contribute to the mission and vision of the network; 
  • Providing guidance in ensuring that the implementation of project activities is aligned to the objective of the respective grant, and that the implementation is in accordance with the rules and regulations of the respective funding partner; 
  • Spearheading all network programmatic activities, including monitoring, research and advocacy; citizen engagement; engagement with government and independent institutions and ensuring compliance with reporting requirements of all the grants; 
  • Represent the network in engagements with critical stakeholders, including government, civil society, funding partners and the diplomatic community; 
  • Spearhead the monitoring and evaluation of programmes activities, assessing impact and sustainability; and 
  • Carry out other appropriate responsibilities as requested by the Executive Director, the Chairperson and/or the Programmes Coordinator.
