Qualifications and Experience:

  •  Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Quantitative Economics, Social Sciences, Social Work, Development Studies or a related field. Additional training at Post Graduate level in Monitoring and Evaluation, project planning and management or a related field is an asset
  •  At least 2 to 3 years of experience in supporting MERL initiatives in development and humanitarian contexts
  •  Experience in using project management principles and practices to lead significant projects; ensuring the achievement of results on time and to standard
  •  Knowledge of strategic planning processes and theories of child-rights programming
  •  Data management, quality control and validation processes and requirements
  •  Appropriate statistical analysis methodologies and systems.

Skills

  •  Strong strategic thinking, analytical and problem solving skills.
  •  Strong team-building, motivational, negotiating, facilitating and influencing skills.
  •  Proficient in computer skills and use of research applications, like SPSS.
  •  Manage quantitative and qualitative data collection.
  •  Analyse, synthesize and draw out conclusions and learn from M&E data and processes.
