FACULTY OF SOCIAL SCIENCES
Department of Psychology
Post: Laboratory Technician (1post)
Duties and Responsibilities
Installing /servicing and testing computers and the requisite software.
Setting up and operating laboratory equipment.
Collecting and analysing experimental and research data, and maintaining the requisite records.
Following instructions and having a systematic approach to tasks.
Demonstrating an understanding of units of measurements and basic statistical calculations.
Qualifications
Diploma or Higher National Diploma in Laboratory Science/ Lab training
BSc Honours Degree in Psychology is an added advantage.
Proficiency in the application of statistical packages such as SPSS for quantitative data analysis and of NVIVO for qualitative data analysis is an added advantage.
Proven post qualification track record of maintaining an orderly and effective lab, and of providing strong analytical expertise.
Lab technology work experience is a must.
