East-West Management Institute, Inc. (EWMI) invites applications by nationals of Zimbabwe and international experts living in Zimbabwe for a number of positions as part of EWMI’s proposal for the upcoming five-year USAID/Zimbabwe Citizen Engagement for Accountability Program (CEAP). The Program will work to strengthen a culture of political and civic engagement in Zimbabwe by promoting greater and more effective citizen participation in governance processes at multiple levels with an eye to improved, citizen-driven development. These are full-time, long-term positions, based in Harare, and offer relevant benefits package. The assignments are expected to start around July 2021.



GENDER AND SOCIAL INCLUSION DIRECTOR


Required qualifications


Minimum of 5 years of experience overseeing and informing the gender equality and social inclusion aspects of development programs, preferably as part of large, complex, international donor-funded programs;

Proven expertise in gender and social inclusion, including in gender-focused analysis, differential gender impacts of laws, policies and regulations, or similar frameworks;

Proven ability to identify and address gender and social inclusion barriers to women’s participation, leadership, and/or protection of rights and freedoms; and

Experience designing and implementing gender and social inclusion training workshops and capacity building programs.

Desired qualifications


Master’s degree in sociology, gender dynamics, public policy, or another relevant field;

Demonstrated leadership and management skills related to activity management; and


Demonstrated effectiveness in developing and maintaining professional relationships with




counterparts in civils society, government, and the private sector.
