Africa AHEAD, a national NGO in partnership with UNICEF needs to fill the following vacancy to support implementation of an emergency program in Bulawayo


Job Summary

Oversee the financial, administrative and logistical operations of the organisation, This also involves preparation of timely and accurate financial reports.


Main Duties :

Finance

Perform book-keeping functions as assigned by the Finance and Administration Manager and Logistics Officer

Track project budget lines against requests for funds and payments

Prepare payments to suppliers and service providers in line with internal procedures and AA’s policies

Ensure that the payment packages checklist is adhered to each time a payment is made

Follow up about and collect account receivables, as requested

Ensure that internal control systems are adhered to in all transactions-including travel requests/advances

Work in close liaison with the Finance Officer to ensure compliance with policies and procedures

Keep the finance files orderly and up to date

Administration

Perform administration tasks, as requested

Maintain an orderly filing system for the organization and individual projects

Monitor stationery supplies; keep a record of stocks and place orders, as appropriate

Track staff annual leave applications and balances

Logistics

Assist to undertake an Annual stock-takes and maintain the assets register

Assist in the management of supplies (preparation of logistics documents, purchase files archiving)

Assist in the management of vehicle fleet (servicing, movements, checking of log books, monitoring of fuel consumption)

Assist in the management of stocks (stock cards update, physical inventories, and basic maintenance of the stores)

Qualifications and Requirements

BAcc/BCom/BTech degree in Accounting, Finance and Business Administration or its recognized equivalent.

Recently Graduate of ACCA, CIMA, ICSA, SAA, IAC or any other relevant professional qualification with 1-3 years post qualification will be relevant.

Experience working in NGO environment is an added advantage
