-A vibrant nonpartisan, non-governmental feminist women’s rights organization based in Harare, Zimbabwe advocating for a just and free society in which women exercise and enjoy full rights and opportunities through the expansion of and promotion of women’s rights, law and policy is embarked a search for suitable board candidates to help fulfil its mandate.

-Our board members champion the importance of exceptional board leadership and believe that each organization needs a strong and effective board to fully realize its potential for good. In addition to the standard roles and responsibilities of a board member, our board members are active advocates and ambassadors for the organization and are fully engaged in identifying and securing the financial resources and partnerships necessary for the organization to advance its mission. Duties and Responsibilities

Job Function:
-Establish and overview the organizational governance framework, including a compliance framework to ensure the organization meets its obligations.
-Provide strategic leadership and guidance to the vision and mission of the organization.

Qualifications and Experience

Knowledge / Qualifications:
•Ardent supporter of women rights
•Requires a bachelor’s degree in each of the relevant professional fields mentioned above.
•Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
•Should have more than 5 years’ experience in a managerial role.
•Exposure to the Local Civil Society Organizational Space is an added advantage.
•Must possess exceptional management competencies.
•Must have excellent analytical problem solving and organizational skills.
•Must be detail oriented.
•Requires well-developed communication skills both oral and written.
•Ability to keep abreast of current affairs, news, development sector movements.
•Good working knowledge of grant and sponsorship management.
•Exceptional people skills
