As a Sales and Marketing Officer for a marketing creative agency, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and executing comprehensive brand promotion campaigns across all the major cities of Zimbabwe. The primary responsibilities include managing Brand Ambassadors, driving sales uplift, compiling client reports, overseeing giveaways, driving product market penetration, and gathering market insights.

Duties and Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:
1. Brand Ambassador Management:
• Profile, recruit, and train brand ambassadors suitable for showcasing the FMCG brands.
• Set and communicate performance targets to brand ambassadors.
• Provide ongoing support, motivation, and performance feedback to ensure targets are met.
• Monitor and enforce the consistent wearing of the correct brand uniform to maintain a professional BRAND appearance.
• Conduct surprise field visits to ensure brand ambassadors are approaching clients effectively and communicating the brand message clearly and eloquently.
2. Sales Uplift and Activation:
• Develop and execute strategies to drive sales uplift during the brand promotion campaign.
• Manage activation stations to ensure they are clean, presentable, and aligned with brand standards.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of sales strategies, adjusting as needed.
3. Client Communication and Reporting:
• Compile and present weekly reports summarizing campaign progress and results to the client.
• Maintain regular communication with the client through daily updates via WhatsApp groups.
• Address client inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
4. Giveaways and Product Management:
• Plan and manage giveaways and always ensure that each team always sufficient supply.
• Monitor redemption of giveaways inline with the mechanic on the campaign strategy.
• Ensure that the redemption register is always maintained and has accurate records.
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the local sales team and the distributor to ensure product availability.
5. Market Research and Insights:
• Gather and analyze consumer behavior and market insights during the campaign and include valuable insights in the weekly client reports.
• Communicate insights to management to ensure we adapt strategies, improve engagement, and enhance the overall campaign effectiveness.
6. Penetration Strategy and Trader Listing:
• Contribute to the development of and implementation of product penetration strategies across the country.
• Work towards expanding the brand's presence by submitting a list of key traders and retailers to the client.
7. Team Leadership and Collaboration:
• Lead and motivate a diverse team of individuals to achieve campaign objectives.
• Collaborate with management to ensure flawless campaign landing and flawless execution throughout the campaign.
8. Cost Management:
• Manage campaign expense in line with approved budgets.
• Track expenses and ensure cost-effectiveness throughout the project.
9. Logistics and Activation Elements:
• Manage logistics to ensure timely delivery of giveaways to prevent shortages during the campaign.
• Coordinate the delivery of activation elements to ensure they reach activation sites promptly.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in marketing, business, or a related field.
• Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel & Word – THIS IS A MUST AND NOT NEGOATIABLE
• Proven experience in project management, preferably in marketing or promotions.
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
