Great Zimbabwe University is seeking a qualified and experienced individual to fill the role of Pro Vice Chancellor for Industrialisation, Business Development, and Strategic Partnerships. The successful candidate will be responsible for initiating, recommending, implementing, and monitoring policies, systems, and procedures related to university industrialisation, business development, and strategic partnerships. This position reports directly to the Vice Chancellor, assumes responsibilities in their absence, and collaborates with key administrative leaders.
-Initiating, recommending, implementing, and monitoring policies, systems, and procedures related to university industrialisation, business development, and strategic partnerships.
-Leading the creation of Spinoffs, Joint Ventures, and other income-generating projects.
-Providing leadership, oversight, and direction to the Schools in all industrialisation, business development programmes, strategic partnerships, and related services.
-Driving and implementing Education 5.0 across Schools.
-Facilitating, supervising, and developing business development and strategic partnerships.
-Mobilising financial, human, and technological resources for the university.
-Superintending the establishment and operations of innovation hubs transforming knowledge into tangible products.
-Supervising quality assurance policies leading to the development of patents and copyrights.
-Ensuring protection of Intellectual Property.
-Spearheading internationalisation of students and staff recruitment.
-Supervising seminars on industrialisation, business development, and strategic partnerships.
-Fostering strategic partnerships for the internationalisation of the curriculum.
-Developing performance benchmarks and quality monitoring for innovation hubs and industrial parks.
-Identifying opportunities for industrialisation, business development, and strategic partnerships.
-Promoting innovation and production with private and public companies, regional and international organisations, and academic institutions.
-Coordinating collaboration with industry leading to the establishment of industrial hubs and parks.
-Addressing corporate governance, compliance issues, and risk management for the university.
-Ensuring internal compliance with national and international quality standards.
-Be a prominent academic with a minimum of twelve (12) years of relevant work experience, including five (5) years at a senior management level within a university institution.
-Demonstrate a proven record of scholarship, research, publications, collaborations, networking, and resource mobilisation.
-Possess substantial experience in strategic academic planning, policy development, budgeting, and academic personnel administration in higher education.
-Have expertise in financial management, budgeting, wealth creation, and contributing to the development and implementation of university business projects.
-Demonstrate the ability to establish public and private partnerships to foster business relationships.
