PLUMBER (2 POSTS)

Duties and Responsibilities

 Taking care of plumbing tools e.g. dice – drain roads-spanners;
 Rectifying leakages as and when necessary;
 Excavating damaged pipes to expose leakages for repairs and general excavation of new works to
sewer and water drains;
 Mixing concrete for footings to drains and hunching using concrete stones, river sand and cement;
 Carrying all materials to construction points e.g. gutters, gutter down pipes, ladders pipes etc;
 Carrying and placing all left over materials in appropriate positions.
 Arranging scaffolds using planks or frames for easier access to higher positions when necessary;
 Cleaning and seeing that plumber’s tools are returned back to the storeroom;
 Ensuring that all excavated areas have been covered well using shovels;
 Any other work related duties as assigned by the superior.
