Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate must be holder of a Doctoral Degree in English and an educational qualification
or M.Ed. (English). Preference will be given to candidates who can teach both B.Ed. and B.A Literature and Language modules. Ability to competently teach both M.A and M.Ed. classes is a prerequisite. The candidate should have some experience in teaching at Tertiary Level. In Particular, the candidate should be able to teach and supervise students in the following areas. Elements of Linguistics, Phonetics and Phonology, Morphosyntax, Discourse analysis, Literature and its Genres, Literary Theory, selected topics in Global Literature, Theories of Narrations of Diversity, Supervising undergraduate and postgraduate research.
