ELECTRICIAN

Duties and Responsibilities

-Install, maintain and repair electrical wiring, equipment and control systems.
-Diagnose electrical faults and carry out corrective maintenance.
-Perform preventative and routine maintenance in line with maintenance schedules.
-Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and manuals.
-Inspect electrical systems to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
-Receive and verify breakdown maintenance works through the help desk system.
-Conduct risk assessments prior to repair works in line with SHEQ policies and procedures.
-Monitor and follow up on breakdown closures by contractors on a daily basis.
-Carry out bi-annual inspections, complete checklists and submit reports to the Projects and Maintenance Engineer in line with preventive maintenance plans and statutory requirements.
-Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in wiring, equipment and fixtures to ensure system compatibility and safety.

Qualifications and Experience

-National Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
-Valid Class 1 Journeyman Licence.
-Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in electrical installations and maintenance works.
-Experience in working with hydrocarbons, Aviation and LPG operations will be an added advantage.
