Job Description
ZHI is currently recruiting the following position for an anticipated TB project.The anticipated TB project aims to support the Ministry of Health and Child Care (MOHCC) in reducing TB morbidity and mortality by enhancing access to high‑quality TB prevention, diagnosis, and treatment services. The project is expected to be implemented across several districts, including Midlands (Gokwe South, Gweru, Kwekwe, Shurugwi, Zvishavane), Manicaland (Buhera, Chipinge, Mutare, Mutasa), Matabeleland South (Beitbridge, Gwanda), Matabeleland North (Nkayi), and Bulawayo.

Position Summary
The Data Entry Clerk (DEC) is a member of the Strategic Information, Evaluation and Learning (SIEL) team at district level responsible for data collection, entry into project database(s), cleaning and regular data analysis.

Duties and Responsibilities

Timely collection of client level and aggregate program data from all health project facilities and communities,
Participate in district-based TB screening outreaches using ultraportable digital X-ray machines,
Capture client level and aggregate TB screening, diagnosis and treatment data in program databases including DHIS2,
Review TB screening, diagnosis and treatment data submitted by MOHCC staff and check for completeness, inconsistencies, and outliers,
Conduct data cleaning and de-duplication in collaboration with MOHCC at district level,
Participate in capacity building of healthcare workers in monitoring and evaluation through coaching and mentoring,
Generate data reports and provide data feedback to MOHCC staff and other information stakeholders,
Implement data quality assurance strategies including regular site visits for routine data quality assessments using standard data verification tools and provide feedback for decision making and corrective actions,
Distribute M&E tools to all supported health facilities,
Support regular analysis of program data to identify program strengths and gaps,
Ensure accurate and timely submission of data reports,
Support roll out and use of digital and mobile data reporting platforms,
Participate in data-driven TB program review meetings,
Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisors.

Qualifications and Experience

Requirements
The post holder is required to uphold the highest standards of professional conduct and must comply with all applicable laws, regulations, donor requirements, and organizational policies, including but not limited to safeguarding, ethical conduct, and statutory obligations. The role may involve engagement with vulnerable populations. As such, the post holder must demonstrate a clear safeguarding record and adhere to all organizational safeguarding policies and procedures. The position is also subject to donor-specific requirements where applicable. The post holder will be expected to comply fully with all relevant donor regulations and restrictions associated with donor-funded programs.

Knowledge, skills & abilities
Ability to work with others and to develop & maintain compatibility among project staff and beneficiaries,
Proficient computer skills for data collection and word processing software,
Ability to troubleshoot data collection and entry problems,
Ability to uphold client confidentiality,
Willingness to travel to multiple districts, health facilities and communities.

Qualifications and experience
A degree in computer sciences, mathematics, statistics, public health, or demography,
Minimum one year experience capturing client level and aggregate program data e.g., TB, HIV in databases e.g., DHIS2,
Conversant with relevant computer programs a requirement,
Proficiency in desktop software (MS Word, Excel, Outlook) a requisite,
Good reading and writing skills,
Demonstrated success in multicultural environments is an advantage.
