Assistant Registrar (2 Posts)
The Assistant Registrar will be responsible for the following:
-Student selection, admission and registration.
-Monitoring operation of degree regulations.
-Assistance in the preparation of the Faculty degree regulations and amendments for publication.
-Undergraduate and postgraduate examinations, timetabling and organisation. ∙ Monitoring of student progress, maintenance and presentation of statistical information.
-Assistance with graduation ceremonies.
-Preparation of draft advertisements, processing of applications and servicing of selection boards.
-Coordination of work for the Faculty’s participation in the planning and budgetary processes, e.g. drafting strategic and operational plans, preparing projections of student numbers, assessing implications of module changes and developments.
-Assistance in the preparation of applications for research and general (teaching/equipment) grants.
-Ensuring that recommendations of the Faculty are duly submitted to the relevant authorities and that University decisions and policies are observed throughout the Faculty.
-Preparation and publication of Faculty brochures/publicity material.
-Control and supervision of Faculty staff and services such as duplicating/ photocopying services.
-Secretariat to the Faculty Board and other Faculty Committees.
-Secretariat to such University Committees as may be assigned to him/her.

-5 O’ Level passes including English Language.
-A first degree in Social Science from a recognised and reputable institution of higher learning.
-A Master’s Degree in Social Science from a recognised and reputable institution of higher learning.
-A minimum of three years relevant experience. At least two years must be post qualification experience preferably in a University.
