Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced individuals to fill the above vacancy that has arisen in the Land Development Department. The successful applicants will report to the Projects Manager.
• Planning for tooling and spares with regards to daily and scheduled works
• Responsible for all the fabrications and welding requirements in the department
• Performing risk assessment for every task, maintaining and focusing on safe work practices and a safe work environment
• Interpreting working drawings correctly, weld quality structures using appropriate methods and machinery
• Performing welding tasks to equipment and machinery projects as instructed and complete tasks without redos
• Delivering against the agreed key performance indicators established for within area of scope
• National Certificate in Welding
• Class 1 Journeyman Certificate in welding
• At least 3 years post apprentice experience working with pumps and pipes
• Ability to read and interpret user manuals and drawings correctly
• Ability to work with minimum or no supervision
• Experience in irrigation and water estates is an added advantage
• A team player
