JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for efficiently carrying out assigned duties, conducting patient assessments, carrying out doctors' instructions, and evaluating patient care and safety.
Providing total individualized and comprehensive nursing care to patients.
Performing nursing procedures and treatment of patients competently and professionally.
Plans and implements the nursing process for patients applying the holistic approach using the nursing process.
Acts as a professional role model at all times upholding the standards and Ethics of the profession.
Promotes good Team spirit good interpersonal, interdepartmental relationships, and personnel cooperation.
Implements laid down policies and follows procedures.
Provides treatment and administers medicines to patients and documents accurately.
Responsible for maintaining nursing care standards in the HDU.
Performs approved therapeutic and diagnostic procedures within the scope of practice.
Adhere to hospital guidelines and policies.
Diploma / Degree in Nursing
Post-basic in ICCN is an added advantage
Registered Nurse Council of Zimbabwe with current practicing license.
Previous minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing practice (pediatric surgical ward unit)
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) Excellent verbal and written communication
Ability to meet deadlines.
