TIMB is calling for volunteers to capture tobacco growers' fingerprints in the rollout of the Biometric Grower Management System. The project will last three months, and selected persons will be based at selected stations (Harare, Chinhoyi, Karoi, Mvurwi, Bindura, Marondera, Rusape , and Mutare). Volunteers will only be selected from the regions they are permanently resident in.
REPORTS TO: REGIONAL MANAGER
RESPONSIBLE FOR THE FOLLOWING FUNCTIONS
• To capture data and verify the authenticity of requisite documents.
• To ensure effective monitoring of the movement of files through computer system and manual records.
• Checking completion of growers' records in their appropriate files for future reference.
• Ensuring verification of growers' documents to ensure compliance with stipulated conditions.
• To ensure that files are safe and kept confidential.
• Ensuring customers are served timeously and queries are resolved within a reasonable time frame.
• Any other duties as assigned
• At least 5 'O' Levels including English and Mathematics with a grade of C or better.
• Computer literacy.
• Advanced Level will be an added advantage.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS / COMPETENCIES
• Ability to work according to strict deadlines.
• Ability to use Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work under instruction.
• A highly organised, task-oriented, and analytical character with impeccable interpersonal communication skills.
• Excellent report writing skills.
