Job Overview
The City of Harare is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for 38 Trainee Parking Supervisor/Patrolman/Woman positions within the Chamber Secretary's Department.

The successful candidates will be responsible for enforcing Harare Municipal By-Laws and contributing towards the maintenance of a peaceful, orderly and secure environment for socio-economic activities within Harare.

Job Objective
The main objective of the position is to enforce Harare Municipal By-Laws in order to create a peaceful and orderly environment for the conduct of socio-economic business by Harare City Council and its stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidates will be expected to:
-Conduct security patrols and issue relevant penalties to offenders in accordance with Harare Municipal By-Laws.
-Clamp and tow away vehicles violating traffic by-laws within Greater Harare.
-Protect City Council premises and assets.
-Enforce commuter and taxi rank regulations.
-Collaborate with the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) in maintaining law and order within the CBD and Greater Harare.
-Carry out other duties related to municipal by-law enforcement as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications and Experience
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
-At least five (5) 'O' Level subjects, including English Language, at Grade C or better.
-Must be between 18 and 35 years of age on the last day of the advert.
-Must be physically and medically fit.
-Must have no criminal record.

Candidates should demonstrate:
-High levels of personal integrity.
-Ability to handle pressure.
-Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
