Qualifications and Experience
Zimbabwe Parks Examination & Licensing
After completing the training programme, students will sit for professional examinations administered by the Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority (ZIMPARKS) in February 2027.
Examination Fee:USD 250
The examination fee is payable directly to the ZIMPARKS ZIWC Bank Account in mid-January 2027.
Successful candidates will receive a Professional Tour Guide Licence, allowing them to work legally as licensed guides in Zimbabwe.
Licensed guides may be employed by:

* Wildlife Conservancies
* Safari Companies
* Safari Lodges
* Travel Agencies
* Eco-tourism Organisations
* Boat Cruise Companies
Anti-Poaching Mentorship Programme
As part of our mentorship programme, learners also receive Anti-Poaching Training, designed to strengthen conservation and wildlife protection skills.
Training includes:
* Wildlife security awareness
* Anti-poaching operations
* Tracking techniques
* Locating lost persons
* Client safety during bush activities
* Responding to threats from poachers and criminals
* Dog handling and tracking fundamentals
Upon completion of the bush training, participants receive an Anti-Poaching Training Certificate.
These additional skills can open opportunities to work as:

* Independent Wildlife Consultants
Graduates may also establish their own businesses offering services such as:

Salary Expectations
Professional Tour Guides can earn approximately USD 400–700 per month, depending on the employer, experience and location.

Entry Requirements
Applicants must:
* Be a Zimbabwean citizen.
* Possess a Certified Copy of National ID or Passport.
* Be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
* Obtain a valid First Aid Certificate before the final examination (this may be acquired during the course).
