TENDER INVITATION: DESIGN OF CONSTRUCTION PLAN FOR MODERNISATION OF ENTRANCE GATE AT WORLD VISION ZIMBABWE NATIONAL OFFICE

Qualifications and Experience

Tender Requirements:
The selected contractor will be expected to:
-Plan, design, conceptualise, layout, estimate, and prepare construction plan drawings.
-Prepare a bill of materials and all other relevant architectural drawings for the modernisation project.

Design and Plan Requirements:
-Floor Plans: Detailed floor plans with room layouts, door and window placements, and dimensions.
-Elevations: Exterior elevation drawings, including materials, textures, and colours.
-Sections: Cross-sectional drawings illustrating walls, floors, and roofs.
-Detail Drawings: Detailed plans for specific components such as stairs, railings, and other architectural features.

Technical Specifications:
-Materials: Detailed specifications, including material types, quantities, and quality standards.
-Structural System: Description of structural system details, including foundations, walls, floors, and roofs.
-Electrical & Plumbing Systems: Specifications for electrical and plumbing systems.
-Fire Safety Systems: Specifications for fire safety, including sprinklers, alarms, and emergency lighting.
-Sustainability Features: Details of energy-efficient systems, rainwater harvesting, and green roofs.

Regulatory and Compliance Requirements:
-Local Building Regulations: Ensure the design complies with local building and construction regulations.
-Accessibility Standards: Adherence to accessibility standards, including wheelchair access.
-Energy Efficiency Standards: Compliance with energy-efficient design standards, such as proper insulation and windows.

Enhanced Visualization:
-3D Modeling: Creation of detailed 3D models for better design visualization.

Tender Validity:
-The proposed rates/costs should remain valid for 90 days from the submission deadline.

Tender Evaluation:
The selection committee will evaluate bids based on the following criteria:
-Design creativity and alignment with business needs.
-Experience and qualifications of the bidding company/individual.
-Compliance with regulatory frameworks.
-Cost-effectiveness and innovative design features, including:
-Aesthetic appeal and environmental sustainability.
-Energy-efficient building designs.
-Modern and contemporary architectural features.
-Economic design solutions.

How to Apply

Tender Submission Instructions:
-All tender documents must be submitted in hard copy.
-Only shortlisted bidders will be invited to present their proposals to the selection panel.
-Bidders are invited to submit tenders on a no cost, no commitment basis. No payment will be made if the project does not proceed, and no claims can be made.

Submission Details:
-Completed bids, sealed in an envelope, should be marked with the tender reference.

Closing Date for Submission:
-The closing date for submission of bids is 12:00 p.m. on 11th March 2025.
