TENDER FOR THE MID TERM EVALUATION STUDY FOR MBIRE AREA PROGRAMME
World Vision International Zimbabwe is implementing Mbire Area Programme is inviting tenders from reputable individuals /organizations to submit bids for the study of midterm evaluation study. The study seeks to establish what changes/impacts have occurred since programme inception and understand World Vision’s contribution to these changes as well as indicate the Child Well Being gaps that need further attention. The evaluation will further seek to show local communities and partners’ capacity to improve and sustain CWB achievements after AP has transitioned.

Duties and Responsibilities

Study objectives
The study seeks to answer the following specific objectives:
• Explore progress made in the last implementation phase towards programme objectives including
sustainability
• Determine the status of CWB indicators at the time of Mid-Term Evaluation
• Determine the capacity of organizations (including government agencies, community organizations,
children’s groups/organizations, churches and other institutions, and networks) to sustain and further
improve CWB achievements

Qualifications and Experience

World Vision Zimbabwe is looking for a consultant/research institute with members with the
following qualities:
I. Holder of an Advanced University Degree in Social Sciences, Education, Livelihoods, Agriculture Child protection, or a similar field.
II. Familiarity with project evaluations and practical experience and expertise in identifying case studies, evidenced by previous research projects/ consultancies;
III. IV. Strong qualitative & quantitative research portfolio evidenced by previous projects; Practical knowledge & expertise in health and nutrition participatory research with children and vulnerable community groups (as well as standards and principles in the development cooperation sector);
V. Evidence showing how they intend to engage with & amplify the voice of children and vulnerable groups in the assignment;
VI. Capacity to deliver within an agreed timeframe.
