The role is responsible for delivering world-class service through the accurate and efficient execution of all teller-related transactions in full compliance with established banking procedures. The position entails proactively addressing CABS clients' needs, identifying cross-selling opportunities, and adhering to the Branch Operations Manual, standing instructions, regulatory circulars and directives, as well as operational guidance issued by the Head Teller.
-Authenticating clients and transactions by following relevant procedure and policies to ensure accuracy and to prevent fraud, risks and losses.
-Confirming actual cash on hand against system balances, at start of day, end of day and at regular intervals, and ensuring corrective action is taken as soon as possible.
-Complying with teller limits.
-Immediately declaring any discrepancy in actual cash on hand against system balances, to management, ensuring that corrective action is taken as per procedure and policy to minimize losses.
-Preparing all transactional documents and originals (WASTE) in the required format by the required deadline for filing purposes
-Providing world class service to clients by greeting, listening and asking questions to ensure an understanding of client's needs.
-Delivering on identified needs following the appropriate process and procedures, and providing feedback to clients to satisfy needs, build relationship, and retain the client.
-Identifying opportunities for making suggestions to better meet customer needs and referring clients to the relevant areas to enable cross-selling of products.
-Staying abreast of CABS risk and compliance requirements by reading the relevant circulars, Standing Instructions and attending sessions to remain current.
-Seeking opportunities to improve business processes and systems by identifying and recommending effective ways to operate and add value to CABS.
-Acting as Brand ambassador by displaying appropriate behavior and CABS values.
-Mitigation of risks.
-Producing written and stamped teller entries.
