TECHNICIAN/SENIOR TECHNICIAN (3 POSTS) Department of Applied Biology and Biochemistry
Duties and Responsibilities
The candidate will be expected to supervise laboratory and workshop activities, prepare equipment or chemicals for practicals and research work, supervise and train Technical Assistants, calibrate and standardize equipment or apparatus, manage inventory of consumables and advising on re-order levels and procuring chemicals and equipment for the department
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should be holders of a National Diploma in Applied Biological Technology and have 3 years’ post-qualification experience or be holders of a Degree in Applied Biology and Biochemistry, Biological Sciences or Biotechnology and have at least one year industrial work experience. Supervisory experience will be an added advantage.
