To monitor, configure, and optimize systems in alignment with Technology Services performance standards for BancABC.
1. Infrastructure Systems Planning:
-Develop weekly systems (Postilion, CBS, Email) performance and resource utilization plans, aligning with Infrastructure and Systems Architecture plans.
-Collaborate with Network Engineers on common issues in the development of Infrastructure and Networks plans.
-Research, analyze, and benchmark available systems (Cloud services) against Vendor and Industry practices.
2. Operating Systems Performance Monitoring:
-Provide diagnostic and trend analysis reports to the Technology Infrastructure and Networks Manager on a weekly basis.
-Monitor server and network performance daily using appropriate tools (dashboards).
-Perform routine maintenance activities based on alerts and recommendations from maintenance services.
-Configure and maintain the physical and virtual server environment daily in line with Infrastructure and Systems Architecture plans.
-Interface with Enterprise Architecture Manager on system development issues.
-Design local and wide area network architecture, documenting all aspects of the design, including graphic illustration.
-Monitor existing security infrastructure, recommend improvements, and address threats and vulnerabilities.
-Upload anti-virus security on all servers in compliance with antivirus licenses.
-Address issues raised during previous audits to ensure Data Centre systems meet recommended audit standards.
3. Business Continuity:
-Perform backup, archiving, and disaster recovery of systems.
-Test Disaster Recovery procedures, update processes and policies in line with the ERM plan, and advise the Infrastructure and Networks Manager.
-Perform root cause analysis for service interruptions, resolve, and escalate issues as needed.
4. Technical Partnerships:
-Liaise with relevant vendors (e.g., Liquid) regarding system technical problems.
-Identify potential suitable systems for the Bank through vendors and make recommendations accordingly.
Ad
-Computer Science Degree or Equivalent Qualifications.
-3 years’ experience or more working in an Infrastructure Environment.
-Experience with virtualization (e.g., VMware, Virtual Box).
-IBM or Dell storage experience and qualifications.
-VMware Qualifications.
-Cloud experience and Cloud qualification are added advantages.
-Linux Qualification is an added advantage.
-Veeam Backup qualification is an added advantage.
