Responsibilities Include:
Turnover
Accountable for turnover generation of the allocated store based on the budget and ensure the store is self-sustaining.
Ensure that all the turnover targets set are achieved through sales maximization and cost minimization.
Design and monitor the effective implementation of store strategies to manage the operation
Average Selling Price
Gross Profit Margin
Net Profit after Tax
Service Departments Contribution
Responsible for driving freshness strategy within service departments, ensuring that the highest standard of quality and freshness is maintained.
Ensure that service departments remain profitable through attaining the set contribution targets per department.
Monitor costs and wastage within service departments to mitigate losses.
Jointly accountable with the Assistant Store Manager and Line Service Departments Supervisors for product availability, quality, and pricing and always ensure freshness.
Ensure that all production processes are efficient, and that asset utilization is optimum, attaining a revenue contribution of up to 36% for all service departments.
Ensure that all regulations are complied with in production and all certifications are in place and displayed as required in terms of the law.
Ensure that there is general minimization of waste in production and that all the production is accounted for appropriately.
Take a controlling role by ensuring that any deviations from the production plans are corrected in the earliest possible time.
Ensure that quality standards and freshness are maintained throughout the production process.
Reviewing, approving, and following through HOD reports and daily production plans.
Store Operations Management
Demonstrate exceptional knowledge of and adherence to all company policies & procedures and attend company meetings and contributes to the overall company growth and strategy.
Communicate with staff daily on the staff’s individual sales goals, and other key performance indicators such as store results, product sales, and other information to help drive productivity.
Ensuring that business trading hours are strictly adhered to, conducting daily walk-throughs with all Supervisors before opening the store, ensuring that readiness to trade is achieved.
Ensure the store has all necessary tools of trade for effective service delivery.
Ensure adherence by all departments.

Requirements:
Must have at least 4 years’ experience in FMCG industry
Must have experience in working with executives and board of directors providing professional, accurate, and strategic advice as well as an understanding of Human Resource Management concepts and an understanding of various statutes governing the operations of a retail supermarket.
Must have a Degree in Operations/ Management/ Commerce/ Business Studies/ Marketing/ Purchasing and Supply/ Accounting and Finance or a Diploma in Marketing/ Operations/Finance/Accounting.
