Job Purpose To ensure accurate accounting of the orgahization's stock.
Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities • Receiving and dispatching stocks to requisitioning departments. Checking and inspection of all goods in stock. Binning of stocks, maintaining cardex records and updating in software system. Evaluating the supply and availability of stocks and profit margins. Implementing measures to avoid stock damages, theft, and wastage. Monitoring shelf stocks, product displays, and the general appearance of the warehouse. Addressing customers* requests, comments, and complaints. Supervision of stocktaking and stock checking. Re-ordering of stocks.
Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications
Diploma/ Certificate in Stores Management or achievement of middle level stage of CIPS or National Diploma in Purchase and Supply.
Experience
Prior experience as a stores personnel or in a similar role with at least two years of relevant working experience. Skills and Competences • Proficiency with spreadsheet and word processing software. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
