Vacancy: Sous Chef
We're looking for a motivated Sous Chef to be the vital second-in-command, supporting our Head Chef and leading our kitchen team in a beautiful, fast-paced environment.
Support & Leadership: Assist Head Chef with daily operations, menu planning, and driving kitchen efficiency.
Culinary Excellence: Prepare and cook high-quality dishes, ensure recipe compliance, and help develop new menu items.
Team Management: Train, mentor, and supervise junior kitchen staff, ensuring high standards are met.
Operations: Manage stock, control food costs, implement health & safety, and maintain kitchen cleanliness.
Guest Experience: Contribute to an exceptional dining experience, potentially engaging with guests as needed.
Requirements:
Experience: Proven experience (2-3+ years) as a Sous Chef or similar role, ideally in a lodge/hospitality setting.
Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Passion: Passion for food, quality, and creating memorable dishes.
Adaptability: Ability to work calmly under pressure and adapt in a busy, new environment.
Knowledge: Knowledge of food safety, inventory, and cost control.
