· Developing innovative software in small teams using cutting-edge technologies, with an emphasis on Java2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE) components and Net Beans or Eclipse IDE plug-ins; · Delivering projects on-time and to specification with an appropriate level of quality;
· Continuously researching on new technologies that can be adopted by the organization and make some tests and recommendations to the ICT management;
· Designing, developing and modifying software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design;
· Modifying existing software to correct errors, to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance;
· Supervising the work of Programmers and Systems Analysts.
Developing and directing software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and technical system documentation. · Analysing user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints; · Ensuring that database maintenance is done periodically as per schedule;
Any other duties as may be assigned by the Senior Software Engineer.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
A first degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline;Proficient in cutting edge technologies such as Java2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE) components and Net Beans or Eclipse IDE plug-ins;Sound working knowledge of Operating Systems including Linux administration; At least two (2) years relevant post qualification experience; andExperience in Database design, development and maintenance on MySQL, PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL platforms.
