VACANCY NOTICE:- SHARED SERVICES MANAGER (Reporting to the General Manager of the mine)
The candidate will be in charge of:-
1. Security Manager (Contractor - GTS)
2. Site Coordinator
3. Stores Manager
4. Chief Buyer
5. Mine Accountant
6. I. T Administrator
7. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
- is to provide leadership to the Support services department and to support the General Manager as directed.
- The job ensures that targets for sources exploitation, capital management, cost control, human resources management and development and corporate governance are achieved.

EXPERIENCE
- At least 10 (ten) years of mining industry experience and a good appreciation of the business operations and support services
- At least 5 (five) years at the Senior Mine Management level.
- Experience in accounting and finance
- Experience in corporate affairs
- Community Relations
Experience in Finance, Procurement, etc
-Articled candidates with the big 4 (four) Accounting firms such as Deloitte and Touché, Price Waterhouse Coopers, Ernst and Young, etc (is an added advantage)

Duties and Responsibilities

KEY RESULT AREAS
1. SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT
- Guide the development and the Procurement strategy and oversee it's implementation.
- Ensure adequate supplies are available to operation including critical consumables.
- Ensure maintenance of suitable Inventory levels in the Stores.
- Guide the development and implementation of a stores management system.

2. FINANCE
-Guide the operational budgeting process.
- Provide support in the management, tracking and control of operational cost through reporting and analysis.
- Support the asset management and capitalisation process.

3. HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGEMENT
- Work with Group Human Resources Manager at Head Office in day to day administration of Human Resources Department at the mine.
- Ensure the policies are implemented.

4. SITE FACILITIES MANAGEMENT
- Support the management of site facilities and supplies.
- Ensure the well being of camp residents.
- Ensure the provision of transportation for employees to and from work stations.

5. I.C.T SERVICES ADMINISTRATION
- Support the installation and Maintenence of ICT services to operations.

6. SITE SECURITY MANAGEMENT
- Manage the security contractor to ensure provision of adequate security services to the operations.
- Ensure the constant of site security risks and address any gaps identified.

7. CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
- Provide leadership in the development of CSR strategy for the mine.
- Guide in the development of CSR budget in line with the Community Needs Assessment Report.
- Ensure proper monitoring and avoidance of Community related risks to the business
- Ensure evaluation of the impact of the Mine CSR Programmes in changing the lives of Communities is sustainable.

ACCOUNTABILITY
- Achievement of operational targets on production and cost.
- Good industrial relations and low employee turnover targets achieved.
- High employee productivity.
- Efficient operations with adequate consumables and spares - not stock-outs.
- Good internal and external audit reports.
- Adequate provision of site facilities.
- Minimum security incidents and adequate protection of assets from thefts or vandalism.
- No disruptive interruption of ICT Services that are critical to operations.

Qualifications and Experience

POST GRADUATION EDUCATION
- Chartered Accountant
FCCA
- Business Leadership qualifications, or,
- Management Development Program

TERTIARY EDUCATION
- Bachelor of Accountancy (Hons) degree, preferably with a Strong Accounting and /or Business Management background
