Zim-TTECH invites applications from highly qualified and experienced individuals for the role of Senior Finance Manager. Zim-TTECH is a registered Private Voluntary Organisation (PVO 125/23), focusing on health system strengthening, epidemiology, strategic information strengthening, health workforce development, operations research and evaluation, as well as the prevention, care, and treatment of infectious diseases.
-Lead the preparation of program budgets and budget modifications.
-Provide oversight for the timeliness and accuracy of budgets, projections, and budget vs actual (BVA) analysis.
-Financial Management, Reporting, and Monitoring
-Coordinate financial operations, ensuring fiscal well-being.
-Prepare financial dashboards and pipeline reports.
-Ensure accuracy and timeliness of transactions in the accounting system.
-Review and approve monthly General Ledger reconciliations.
-Efficiently manage sub-awards partners, reviewing financial monitoring reports and providing technical assistance.
-Supervise the finance team for assigned projects, ensuring compliance with regulations.
-Support the Project Director in integrated management of all project finances.
-Oversee the financial management system, ensuring consistency with accounting principles and internal control procedures.
-Support the Finance and Operations Director in preparing financial and management reports.
-Coordinate the auditing process.
-Ensure adherence to internal financial procedures and controls.
Coordinate statutory payments (e.g., ZIMRA, NSSA).
Any Other Duties
-Perform duties as assigned by the supervisor.
-Degree in Accountancy and Postgraduate qualification (e.g., MSc in Accounting/Finance, MBA).
-Member in good standing with relevant accounting bodies (CIMA/ACCA/CA(Z)).
-Minimum of 5 years of finance and operations experience, with at least three years at manager level or above.
-Experience integrating excellence in accounting with overall administrative leadership.
-Strong analytical, planning, organizational leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal communication skills.
-Excellent computer skills (MS Office; PowerPoint, Excel), accounting software packages, and file-sharing applications.
-Experience working with medium to large organizations with multiple funding streams.
-Familiarity with managing donor-funded programs, especially those funded by USG.
-Extensive financial and operations experience in non-governmental organizations.
-Familiarity with USG finance, operations, and administration regulations, policies, and practices.
