Reports to: The Executive Director
Action for Youth Foundation Trust is a not-for-profit, non-governmental organization that creates a safe and conducive, violent-free environment for Youths living with HIV, Orphans & Vulnerable Children, and Youths in Key Population Communities in Zimbabwe.
The organization is seeking to engage a Senior Communications & Advocacy Officer who will be coordinating and leading the Communications Department within the organization at voluntary basis.

Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive communications and advocacy strategies.
- Lead media relations, including releases, statements and interviews.
- Manage social media platforms, including content creation and engagement.
- Develop and disseminate advocacy materials, including policy briefs and campaign materials.
- Collaborate with stakeholders including partners, donors and government agencies.
- Provide guidance and support to program staff on communications and advocacy.
- Any other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience

Requirements & Experience
- At least a Degree in Communications, Journalism, Health Education & Health Promotions, Public Relations or any other relevant.
- Masters or Post-grads qualification is an added advantage.
- 2 years experience working with the media.
- CPD Qualification in Graphic Designing is an added advantage.
