Bindura University of Science Education is hiring SECURITY OFFICERS/GUARDS (5)
Duties and Responsibilities
-Asset protection - Guarding all University premises; -Carrying out all security checks on buildings, property and all amenities; -Crowd control; -Manning entrances and exit points, booking visitors and carrying out searches where necessary; -Carrying out first aid; -Record incoming and outgoing equipment; -Writing reports; -Reporting all unusual events; -Arresting and confining suspects or the accused by handing them over to the police; -Accounting for all lost, stolen and found property; -Giving evidence or testifying in Criminal or Civil Courts and -Performing any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Qualifications and Experience
-A certificate in Security Guard Training or its equivalent from a reputable Private Security Service Organisation/Public Security Policing or Military Organisation; -At least five (5) "O" Level subjects, including English Language; -A minimum of five (5) years relevant post-qualification work experience, preferably in private security guarding with reputable organisations; -Clean Criminal Record and must be physically fit; -Be able to demonstrate work of exceptional quality, good interpersonal skills and good customer service and -Proof of security and/or asset protection operations experience would be added advantage
