Mukuru is currently seeking a Scheduler to join our team in Zimbabwe.
The primary objective of this role is to efficiently manage and organize the tellers' float, ensuring it is neither depleted nor excessively funded. The Scheduler is responsible for reconciling and accurately accounting for inventory within the SMH system. Additionally, the role involves addressing teller and client queries, resolving issues, and escalating matters to relevant departments for prompt assistance.
The Scheduler will report to the Lead Scheduler, overseeing the management of tellers' float and acting as the main contact for teller support, finance team collaboration, operational assistance, and cash provider relations.
Duties and Responsibilities
-Summarize daily cash movement. -Identify and follow up on cash variances. -Perform account reconciliations. -Provide solutions to teller queries in line with standard operating procedures. -Forecast the daily amount a teller might use. -Actively minimize CIT (Cash in Transit) costs by ensuring booths/branches are adequately funded to prevent frequent cash deliveries. -Ensure all locations remain within insurance limits for trading. -Report any suspicious activities to the Lead Scheduler and Security. -Provide transaction statements when required. -Serve as the main contact for cash-in-transit service providers. -Assist in order cancellation. -Attend monthly KPI discussions with the Lead Scheduler. -Participate in bi-annual performance meetings with the Lead Scheduler. -Complete all required compliance training and assignments.
Qualifications and Experience
-Bachelor's degree or Advanced Diploma. -Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA or CIMA. -1 year of experience as a Teller. -Knowledge of anti-money laundering. -Proficient in Microsoft Excel. -Familiarity with exchange control regulations. -Understanding of cash logistics. -Strong customer service skills.
