Applications are invited for the SALES MANAGER position within Baker’s Inn Sales & Distribution -Northern Region, Harare. This role is responsible for driving sales growth, strengthening market presence, improving route efficiency, and providing strategic leadership to the sales function.
Duties and Responsibilities
The candidate will be required to take full charge of all key responsibilities that include but are not limited to the following: -Drive sales volumes and ensure all produced products are sold through effective route and market management. -Provide timely demand feedback to Production and Distribution teams. -Structure and optimize distribution routes to ensure timely deliveries and route viability. -Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders. -Analyse daily sales and operational statistics including returns, fuel usage, cash collections, and route performance. -Monitor competitor activities and provide market intelligence to support strategy. -Lead, motivate, and manage the sales team, including performance management and succession planning. -Prepare and present accurate sales and performance reports for management reviews.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate should be in possession of the following minimum qualifications: -A Degree in Sales and Marketing, Business Management, or any related field. -A minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales, preferably within an FMCG environment. -At least 3 years’ experience in a managerial or supervisory role. -Strong knowledge of route-to-market operations and sales planning.
