The Job Reporting to the Chief Risk Officer, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following: Designing and implementing an overall risk management process for the organisation, which includes an analysis of the financial impact on the company when risks occur. Performing a risk assessment through analysing current risks and identifying potential risks that are affecting the Group. Performing a risk evaluation by assessing the company's previous handling of risks, and comparing potential risks with set criteria. Conducting risk assurance and due diligence reviews for proposed mergers, acquisitions, and business deals. Facilitating the embedding of risk management approaches into the Group's values, processes, procedures and decision making. •Risk reporting tailored to the relevant audience Conducting policy and compliance audits. Building risk awareness amongst staff by providing support and training within the company
Qualifications and Experience
The Person The ideal candidate must possess the following: Degree in Risk Management, Actuarial Science, Finance or Insurance from a reputable institution or equivalent Professional Risk Management qualifications •At least 5 years' experience in a similar or related environment and 2 years of which should be in a management position. Analytical skills and an eye for detail Experience in the Financial Services Industry is an added advantage • Communication and presentation skills
