Duties and Responsibilities

-Facilitate the innovation process and contribute to the generation of new ideas.
-Identify innovative ideas from various sources, both within the university and external partners (entrepreneurs, industry) to recognize Gwanda State University's intellectual property (IP) for potential commercial exploitation.
-Identify strategies, business opportunities, and new technologies, and collaborate on developing capabilities, architectures, and business models to capitalize on these opportunities.
-Draft and negotiate agricultural-related licenses, collaboration agreements, inter-institutional agreements, and other contracts related to the commercial development of intellectual property with commercial partners and collaborating institutions.

Qualifications and Experience

-Minimum of a BSc Degree in Biology/Biotechnology/Crop Science/Animal Science/Food Science and an MSc Degree in Biology/Biotechnology/Crop Science/Animal Science/Food Science.
-Proven track record in multidisciplinary research, collaboration, and/or partnership management.
-Experience in interacting with students and/or teaching and learning.
-Minimum of eight (8) publications or equivalent, such as patents/industrial designs.
