Project Description:
CNFA is inviting applications from qualified candidates for the position of Research and Data Collection Officer for the Quality Technologies Revitalizing Agriculture (Q’tra). The purpose of this USAID Activity will be to work with farmers in the West Bank and Gaza (WBG) to improve climate-resilient conservation and management of freshwater resources and associated ecosystems by increasing the availability, quality, and environmental resilience of drinking water supply sources. The duration of this Activity spans four years, from October 2023 to September 2027.

Position Summary:
Reporting to the MEL Director, the Research and Data Collection Officer supports the data collection and documentation needed for the projects. Data collection will involve fields and virtual data collection for project applicants, participants, and stakeholders. This includes ensuring effective and timely communications and coordination within the project team to collect quality data that can contribute to promoting project objectives, achievements, and activities to USAID and relevant public, private, and non-profit actors. The incumbent will maintain database for data collection, ensure data cleaning according to approved protocols, ensure quality data collection through cross checking and triangulations.

Duties and Responsibilities

-Conduct field and virtual data collection for project applicants, participants, and stakeholders.
-Ensure effective and timely communication and coordination with the project team to gather quality data.
-Collaborate with the MEL Director to develop and refine data collection tools and methodologies.
-Maintain and update the project database and trackers, ensuring accurate data entry and storage.
-Regularly monitor the database to meet project needs and standards.
-Perform data cross-checking and triangulation to verify accuracy and consistency.
-Provide regular updates and reports on data quality and collection progress to the MEL Director.
-Document training and capacity building activities, including attendance, pre/post assessments, and reflections.
-Support data collection for project surveys, assessments, and visibility materials (e.g., photos and testimonials).
-Undertake any other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience

-Bachelor’s degree in management, statistics, social sciences, or a related field.
-Proven experience in data collection, database management, and quality assurance.
-Excellent organizational and communication skills.
-Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
-Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, and other relevant Microsoft Office applications.
-Proficiency in both written and spoken Arabic and English is required
-Willingness and ability to travel to support project work.
