Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidates will be responsible for the following:
1. Patient Care and Monitoring
-Assess patients and monitor vital signs, including temperature, pulse, blood pressure and respiration.
-Monitor patient conditions and observe any changes.
-Report concerns promptly to doctors and other healthcare staff.
2. Administering Medication and Treatment
-Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with medical instructions.
-Give injections, IV fluids and other prescribed treatments.
-Ensure correct dosage and timing of medication.
-Watch for side effects or adverse reactions and take appropriate action.
3. Supporting Doctors and Medical Procedures
-Assist doctors during examinations, surgeries and other medical procedures.
-Prepare the necessary equipment and ensure sterile environments are maintained.
-Support patient safety and comfort throughout medical procedures.
4. Coordination and Communication
-Act as a link between patients, doctors and other healthcare professionals.
-Ensure smooth communication and coordinated patient care.
-Communicate relevant patient information accurately and professionally.
5. Emergency Response
-Respond quickly and appropriately to emergency situations.
-Provide basic life support when required.
-Assist with stabilising patients and responding to emergency interventions.
6. Maintaining a Safe Environment
-Ensure the clinical environment is clean, organised and safe.
-Help reduce risks such as patient falls, medication errors and cross-infections.
-Follow established health and safety procedures.
7. Documentation and Reporting
-Accurately document patient care, treatments, vital signs and other relevant clinical information.
-Maintain complete and up-to-date patient records.
-Report findings and patient concerns promptly to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
8. Professional Development
-Continuously update nursing knowledge and skills.
-Attend relevant training and professional development programmes.
-Adhere to professional nursing standards and ethical guidelines.
9. Hygiene and Cleanliness
-Oversee and maintain proper cleaning and hygiene practices.
-Maintain acceptable standards of hygiene in clinical and non-clinical areas.
-Follow infection prevention and control procedures.
