8. REGISTERED GENERAL NURSE (40 POSTS)
Reports to Senior Registered Nurse
Job Summary
The Registered General Nurse provides high-quality patient care, assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized care plans for patients. He/she works collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to promote patient-centered care and achieve optimal patient outcomes.
-Assesses patients' physical, emotional, and social needs, developing individualized care plans to meet those needs.
-Provides skilled nursing care, including administering medications, performing wound care, and managing medical equipment.
-Monitors patients' progress, identifying any changes or concerns and reporting them to the multidisciplinary team.
-Communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals, promoting patient-centered care and collaboration.
-Works collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans, sharing knowledge and expertise.
-Participates in ward meetings and contributes to quality improvement initiatives.
-Maintains up-to-date knowledge and skills, participating in ongoing education and professional development.
-Shares knowledge and expertise with colleagues, promoting a culture of continuous learning.
-Participates in mentoring and preceptorship programs, supporting the development of junior staff.

-Diploma in General Nursing/ BSc Degree in Nursing
Experience;
-At least 6 months
Skills;
-Strong clinical skills and knowledge of general nursing practice.
-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
-Ability to work effectively in a busy environment.
Certification;
Current Registration with the Nurses Council of Zimbabwe
