The primary responsibility of the Refueling Assistant at Econet Wireless is to refuel generators within defined key performance indicators, ensuring the network's uptime. The incumbent will also be responsible for topping up ZESA recharge units at all base stations to maintain the set network uptime.
Duties and Responsibilities
-Perform all fuel offloading connections, such as pump and hose, and power connection, ensuring the safe transfer of fuel into the generator tank. -Conduct basic checks on generator power supply sites, including circuit breakers, oil levels, battery conditions, and air conditioner functionality. -Record generator run hours, fuel levels before and after refueling. -Compile site reports, addressing access roads that may require attention. -Coordinate with casual workers to transport fuel to inaccessible sites, conduct site cleanliness checks, and address security issues. -Recharge ZESA units at all base stations, recording opening and closing balances of the units.
Qualifications and Experience
-Minimum of 6 'O' Levels, including English and Mathematics. -2–3 years of experience in a related field or equivalent. -Class 2 Driver's license.
