NOTICE OF RECRUITMENT OF RANGERS (X 40) FOR MATUSADONA NATIONAL PARK
Interested candidates are invited to report at Siakobvu (Nyaminyami Rural District Council Offices) on the 30th January 2026) for the above posts which have become vacant at Matusadona National Park.
Duties of Position: shall include the following:
-Carry out anti-poaching patrols as directed,
-Monitoring illegal activities, fire and water management,
-Being involved in game capture and translocation of animals,
-Collect data whilst in the field patrol and other management activities,
-Collect information on illegal activities and submit such information for strategic planning,
-Attend to problem animals and plant invasive species
-Ensure that all offenders are brought to book,
-Provide information to members of the public on how to deal with animal/human conflicts.
-Any other duties assigned by the supervisor
The Person:
The ideal incumbent should possess the following: –
-Between 18 and 30 years
-Proof of four years’ secondary education qualification,
-Has knowledge of Parks Estate environment and basic knowledge and understanding of the behavior of wild animals,
-Proof of Identification original or certified photocopy
-Strictly no criminal record – you will be security vetted at a later stage and if found to be incorrect you will be failed.
-Able to pass a basic health screening including physical exam and eyesight test
-The selection process is physically demanding – to the extent that if you have any illness such as TB or others it could result in permanent disability or even death. If you do have an illness please let the selectors know so that we can recommend a course of action.
There will be one selection centre and all eligible candidates must report at Siakobvu Centre (Nyaminyami Rural District Council Offices) on the 30th of January 2026 at 0700hrs
All candidates to bring Educational qualifications, professional qualification and CVs.
Physical test which involves (10km run in 45 min for male candidates and 1hr for female candidates).
The first 120 participants will qualify to the next stage which is pushups, sit ups, chin ups and oral interviews with law enforcement related questions.
Selected candidates will go for a further two weeks intensive physical selection process at a later date.
Items to bring
Suitable clothing for physical fitness testing (running shoes, shorts, t-shirt), a change of clothes and a water bottle sufficient for you to carry with you in the testing phases.
Bring your own food.
NB: Candidates will be required to complete an indemnity form to go through the pre-selection & selection process
