Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons for the following posts:

POST A : QUALITY INSPECTOR-CLOTHING AND TEXTILE- (X1)

The incumbent will be responsible for conducting quality inspections on raw materials, in-process items, and finished products, ensuring adherence to quality standards in the clothing and textile industry.

Duties and Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties, among others:

Inspect raw materials, in-process items, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards specific to the clothing and textile industry.
Identify defects, irregularities, and deviations in fabrics, stitching, and product design.
Collaborate with production teams to address and resolve quality issues in real time.
Ensure adherence to established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality benchmarks for garments and textiles.
Document and report inspection results to the Quality Control Manager and suggest corrective actions to the Production Manager.
Conduct routine audits of production lines to ensure consistent product quality.
Maintain and calibrate inspection tools and equipment used in textile and garment quality checks.
Assist in training production staff on quality assurance best practices tailored to the clothing and textile industry.

Qualifications and Experience

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

At least a Diploma in Industrial Clothing, Design and Construction, Diploma in Clothing Technology, or a related field.
A qualification in Quality Assurance is an added advantage.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a clothing and textile manufacturing environment, with exposure to design, pattern making, garment construction, and fabric types and their applications.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Strong knowledge of garment construction, fabric types, and textile manufacturing processes.
Familiarity with industry standards and ISO regulations for clothing and textiles.
Proficiency in using inspection tools specific to garment and textile quality checks.
Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
