Job Title: Public Education and Information Officer Organisation: Zimbabwe Gender Commission Location: Head Office, Harare Application Deadline: 31 October 2025
Reports to: Public Education & Information Manager Job Purpose: To implement public education and information programmes of the Commission.
Duties and Responsibilities
-Draft concept notes. -Identify target audiences. -Facilitate stakeholder engagement initiatives to promote public awareness and understanding of gender issues. -Identify and conduct relevant gender-sensitisation awareness programmes. -Conduct public awareness programmes on gender issues. -Identify gender-related information gaps. -Draft public education and information content.
Qualifications and Experience
Education & Qualifications: -Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences or equivalent. -Minimum of 3 years’ experience, preferably in gender-related issues.
Critical / Technical Competencies Required: -Highly organised. -Computer literate. -Good communication skills. -Presentation skills. -Creativity and innovation. -Interpersonal skills. -Public speaking skills. -Analytical skills. -Ability to work as part of a team.
