Job Grade: E4
Reporting to: Director-Statistical Services

Job Purpose:
The Provincial Managers, reporting to the Director-Statistical Services, are tasked with the responsibility of providing leadership and management for all technical and administrative activities in their respective provinces.

Duties and Responsibilities

-Develop a comprehensive work plan for the province aligned with the division’s annual plan and manage its implementation.
-Manage the Provincial Office, providing leadership, direction, support, and advice to the Provincial team.
-Oversee and manage censuses and surveys within the Province.
-Prepare the budget for the Provincial Office and manage existing resources.
-Participate in and facilitate stakeholder meetings at the provincial level.
-Create linkages and networks within the province, aiming to boost relations with relevant structures, including businesses and other MDAs.
-Mentor staff, provide supervision, and conduct performance appraisals.

Qualifications and Experience

-A first degree in Mathematics/Statistics/Operations Research and Statistics/Population Studies and -Demography or equivalent with a quantitative bias.
-Master’s degree in Mathematics/Statistics/Operations Research and Statistics/Population Studies and -Demography or equivalent with a quantitative bias.
-Excellent computer skills, including the use of statistical packages and Microsoft Office.
-At least 5 years of working experience as a statistician.
-Excellent leadership and communication skills.
-Strong team leadership abilities.
-Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
