This role is responsible for managing projects across businesses and functions, in order to meet strategic business objectives. This role is responsible for developing, in conjunction with the Project Sponsor, project definitions in a Waterfall, Hybrid or Agile approach.
Duties and Responsibilities
Key Result Areas Project Scoping Engages with the project sponsor to agree parameters that define the technical and business scope of the project. Rigorously manages the project to the agreed scope, ensuring that change control is applied to any potential changes in scope. Change request and change control Manages the integrated change control process. Project planning and integration Facilitates initiation engagements and agreements with SME’s/business owners surrounding how the business case translates into a project in terms of the project components, approach, key stakeholders etc. Establishes the target plans across multiple projects. Undertakes required analysis to formulate and sign-off the project schedule.
Quality Management -Confirms and adheres to the set approach to achieving quality including quality standards, controls and governances, processes and measures and builds these into the project plan. -Executes on quality components throughout the duration of the project. Corrects and/or escalates non-compliance to quality components timeously. Project expense and benefits management Risk, Opportunity and Issue Management Stakeholder engagement Procurement and contract management Team effectiveness
Qualifications and Experience
Qualification Information and Experience Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a relevant field preferred. Certified Project Manager and Scrum Master certification will be an added advantage 3+ years of experience as a Project Manager/ Scrum master or in a similar role. Working knowledge of both traditional and agile methodology, techniques, and frameworks, to deliver solutions. Leadership and management experience. Excellent people and project management skills.
