The Organic Farming Academy (OFA), driven by a commitment to foster sustainable agriculture and address challenges in the organic food market, is seeking a dedicated Project Coordinator. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in implementing initiatives that promote organic farming, fair-trade practices, and environmental sustainability.
-Develop strategic documents for project design, planning, and implementation, including results frameworks, work plans, and project budgets.
-Manage day-to-day project activities, ensuring efficient resource utilization.
-Provide technical and administrative coordination for project components.
-Develop Terms of Reference for consultants/experts and oversee the delivery of technical services and reports.
-Ensure stakeholder participation in project activities and foster cross-project linkages for impact reinforcement.
-Support coordination with relevant government authorities.
-Conduct monitoring and evaluation, emphasizing project indicators and surveys.
-Facilitate the flow of information among team members and stakeholders.
-Provide technical support and guidance on monitoring and evaluation to implementing partners.
-Gather data on best practices and lessons learned for organizational sharing and learning.
-Prepare reports for presentation to the Advisory Committee.
-Establish and maintain partnerships with stakeholders, including the private sector, NGOs, government, and donors.
-Actively engage in resource mobilization from various sources for project sustainability.
-Bachelor/BSc or Masters/MSc in (organic) agriculture, rural development, or a related field aligned with project objectives.
-Proven experience in project management with international funding.
-Excellent communication skills to interact with individuals at various levels.
-Problem-solving skills to devise solutions and strategies for challenges.
-Change management skills to adapt to a fast-changing work environment.
-Organizational skills, including time management, delegation, planning, goal setting, and decision-making.
-Proficient in the English language with a track record of reporting according to international development cooperation standards.
-Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a multicultural team.
-Sound working knowledge of ICT technologies and computer applications.
-Knowledge of organic and Fair-Trade production standards and procedures, with experience in private sector cooperation considered an advantage.
