In Zimbabwe, WFP has a strong track record of delivering food assistance and managing supply chains during crises. The July 2022-December 2026 Country Strategic Plan (CSP) outlines efforts to promote shock-responsive social protection and sustainable food systems. WFP is supporting informed decision-making on food security, integrating nutrition, gender, protection and inclusion, youth engagement, technological innovation, and decentralized zero hunger action.
Job Purpose:
To manage the implementation of key Programming Activities in WFP Zimbabwe (R4 and Zambuko Programs), focusing on resilience building, agriculture, and sustainable food systems.
-Manage all Field Level Agreements of the Programmes, including communication and coordination with partners and overseeing budgets.
-Ensure effective funds management of resources allocated to resilience activities in close coordination with relevant activity manager, budget and programming, and finance teams.
-Identify opportunities to integrate and layer the R4 and Zambuko programmes with other resilience-building programme activities.
-Mainstream gender, nutrition, and protection as per project proposals and donor requirements.
Seek potential areas of layering, collaborations, and synergies on sustainable food systems and value chain development.
-Information and Knowledge Management - ensure accurate management of information related to the programmes in coordination with the M&E team.
-Prepare analytical and operational reports on the implementation progress of the programmes and develop briefs or case studies on specific thematic areas.
-Resource mobilization and partnerships, including providing technical input to communication materials and funding proposals.
-Establish and maintain operational and strategic partnerships with government ministries, UN Agencies, NGOs, Private sector, and research institutions.
-Advanced University degree in Agriculture, Natural Resources Management, Food Systems, or related field.
-At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in an international humanitarian, international NGO, or related organization.
-Fluency in English; knowledge and fluency in any local language is highly desirable.

-Experience working with diverse, multicultural, and interdisciplinary teams.
-Ability to present information and ideas effectively, track record of producing reports and other communication materials.
