We're Hiring!
The KAZA TFCA Secretariat seeks a dynamic, enthusiastic, and highly qualified individual to serve as Programme Officer. Reporting to the Programme Manager, the Programme Officer will play a pivotal role in supporting and ensuring the effective delivery of the technical components of the KAZA TFCA programme. This includes coordination of KAZA TFCA Working Groups, implementation of strategic programmes, and leading efforts in wildlife crime prevention across the transboundary landscape.

Duties and Responsibilities

Key Performance Areas
- Programme Coordination and Implementation
- Technical Coordination for Wildlife Crimes
- Technical Support and Capacity Development
- Partnerships and Resource Mobilization
- Data Management and Administration
- Planning and Operations of the KAZA Secretariat

Competencies
- Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
- Lead multi-sector and multi-disciplinary teams
- Willingness to work and travel extensively in remote conditions
- Extensive experience in the usage of computers and office software packages.

Qualifications and Experience

- A Bachelor’s degree in natural resource management, international development, or related field of study.
- A postgraduate qualification and/or the ability to speak and write Portuguese would be an added advantage.

Experience
- At least 10 years of working experience, with proven project management capacity in natural resource management or related sectors.

The position is open to citizens of KAZA TFCA Member Countries, i.e Angola, Botswana, Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe. It is based in Kasane Botswana, and the position is for 3-year term with possibility of an extension, subject to performance.
