About
Zimbabwe Health Interventions (ZHI) is a not-for-profit human development organisation which is registered as a Private Voluntary Organisation (PVO 17/22). ZHI’s mission is to develop and deliver innovative and sustainable high-impact, integrated health interventions to the communities we serve, while working with and strengthening existing institutions.

The Re-Ignite Innovate Sustain and Empower (RISE) program aims to disrupt the main drivers of HIV risk for adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) in Zimbabwe using a proven approach called Determined, Resilient, Empowered, AIDS-free, Mentored, and Safe women (DREAMS). The program goal is to contribute to the reduction of new HIV infections amongst AGYW 10-24 by 2026 in Zimbabwe by strengthening HIV and sexual violence prevention. The program is currently being in eleven priority high HIV burden districts in Zimbabwe (Beitbridge, Bulawayo, Bulilima, Gwanda, Gweru, Insiza, Mangwe, Matobo, Mazowe, Gokwe South and Mberengwa).

These districts are in the following provinces: Mashonaland Central, Midlands, Bulawayo, and Matabeleland South provinces. ZHI’s primary role is to deliver a comprehensive curriculum on HIV prevention, gender norms and social asset building targeted at AGYW in school, out of school and their sexual partners at community level. ZHI’s core thrust in the DREAMS-RISE Program is to keep girls and young women HIV Free through supporting them to:

• Stay in school
• Prevent early pregnancies
• Prevent sexual violence
• Access Post violence care
• Reduce child marriage.

DREAMS-RISE provides a comprehensive, multi-sectoral package of core interventions to address key factors that make girls and young women particularly vulnerable to HIV. These include structural factors, such as gender-based violence, exclusion from economic opportunities, and a lack of access to secondary school. DREAMS layers multiple interventions at once so that AGYW are surrounded with critical support to keep them safe from HIV and other risks.

Duties and Responsibilities

Basic Function:
The Program Graduate Intern will report to the Project Officer (PO) and support him/her with project implementation and administrative tasks. The Graduate Intern will assist with maintaining and filing of all programmatic related documents. The Graduate Intern will support the PO in organizing all DREAMS-RISE project meetings internally and externally as well as keep a record of all minutes. The Graduate Intern will support the PO with all program’s procurement related tasks.

Job Description:
Provide support in program and administrative tasks under the guidance of the PO. Support the program team in undertaking the following: Assist the program team in reviewing and preparing documentation on the procurement of goods and services, and support contract tracking; Provide administrative support to the program team in the organization of events, meetings and workshops, ;Make travel arrangements for the program team and project staff, including preparation of travel requisitions and claims; Maintain and organize up-to-date hard and electronic files for easy access and retrieval; Provide administrative support to the program team as well as to the Senior Management Team as necessary; Manage and schedule appointments and meetings as relevant; Develop and maintain weekly/monthly/quarterly Program team calendar ;Schedule routine Program team meetings: maintain minutes and ensure follow up on action items arising from minutes; Manage all printing and photocopying assignments, development and reproduction of documents for the Program department; Support delivery of program activities and documentation of reports, success stories and contributing to program visibility through social media content development; Performs any other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and abilities:
Ability to plan and prioritize own work under tight deadlines as well as to work on own initiative and as a member of a team; Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality; Strong computer skills in a Microsoft Windows/Office environment.

Qualifications and Experience

-Recent graduate holding Diploma in Social Sciences, Development Studies or equivalent;
-Degree is an added advantage.
-At least proven experience of work-related learning;
-Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and projects to meet deadlines;
-Work related learning experience in an NGO or developmental sector is required.
-Candidate must be either a beneficiary, current or former volunteer or a DREAMS Ambassador in any of the 11 districts of project implementation.
-Knowledge of the DREAMS program is a prerequisite.
